ECO VALUES & SUSTAINABILITY
I am a firm believer of looking after the planet on which we live and we should all consider this not just as individuals, but as businesses too.
It's not always easy to be environmentally friendly but I have taken steps to be more considerate of the environment and the resources that I use. From reducing and offsetting my carbon emissions to finding likeminded companies to source albums and USBs from as well as doing all the little things that still make a difference.
Find out more about my eco values below.
WE CAN ALL DO OUR BIT
I recycle wherever I can and I do my best to avoid single use plastics.
My home office uses 100% renewable electricity from solar, wind and hydro sources. The gas supply is 100% carbon neutral with 10% green gas from renewable sources with the remainder offset through the support of carbon neutral projects around the world.
I use rechargeable batteries in all of my photographic equipment.
I'm pleased to say that all new wedding bookings will have their wedding photographs delivered on an eco-friendly wooden USB stick, made from recycled wood and sourced from a UK supplier. The matching boxes are also made from the same recycled materials.
Print boxes are only included as an optional upgrade to ensure that I am only printing and using additional resources where necessary.
Portraiture and commercial photography is delivered by digital download. USBs are available as an optional extra to help reduce unnecessary product production and carbon footprint.
I've recently changed wedding album supplier to a UK based company using sustainable components. These are beautiful quality albums available in a selection of fabrics and fine art papers.
To make it even better, they even use couriers with a carbon-neutral approach.

& BUSINESS CARDS
I try to keep printing to a minimum, but where I do need to print, I use recycled paper stocks and vegetable based inks wherever possible. Invoices and receipts are always sent electronically and I'm looking at other ways to reduce paper consumption in my business.
It's simply not practical or often possible to run my business without a vehicle, but my car is a low emission vehicle and I try to hold meetings over the phone or Skype where possible to reduce the need to travel.
At home and in business, I try to reduce my carbon footprint as much as possible. What I can't reduce, I offset though the support of carbon reduction projects around the world.
