Emma & James' Wedding - The Corn Barn, Collumpton

Emma and James were married at St. Andrews church in Collumpton, with their reception following at The Corn Barn, just a few minutes drive away.

The church was full, full of people, full of energy and full of love - it was lovely to see so many people brought together. This is the first time I have photographed a wedding with a church band rather than an organ player, which gave the songs so much more energy. Some weddings, the official will restrict the movements of a photographer and this was one. I could only photograph form the back of the church or from the viewing stage above, but it still gave me a couple of options.

Emma arrived styled with a vintage twist and James work a sky blue suit adding a bit more colour to the bridal party and pulling out the blue from the bouquets. After the ceremony, the couple chose to split their formal photos and have some at the church and the remainder at The Corn Barn.

On arrival at the barn, we headed for the Orchard for a few formal photos and some photos of the bride and groom before joining the rest of the guests in the garden for tractor rides and the wedding breakfast.

It was a beautiful day and there was a real sense of community amongst the couple's family and friends.
