It can be difficult and expensive to run a business while being as environmentally friendly as possible, but it is important that we do what we can.
I'm talking about the simple, everyday things like reducing our use of single use plastics, using recycled paper and recycling your waste. Turning off lights and plug sockets when they aren't in use, using energy saving bulbs, giving that little extra thought as to what you can do to help, acting on it and encouraging others to do the same.
There are some businesses out there who go the extra mile. They are ambassadors for our environment and the future of our planet. They invest in sourcing, growing and using sustainable resources while protecting the planet. They might produce and sell products made from recycled materials, use alternative packaging to plastic, run on renewable energy, make green investments and actively support or are themselves, environmental charities.
To me, this is really important. I love nature and the great outdoors. I grew up in a small village in Wiltshire where I spent most of my childhood playing outdoors, fascinated by plants and animals so I've always had an active interest in our planet and the wildlife we share it with.
I strongly believe that we should all do our bit for the environment. At a bare minimum, every person and every business should be recycling as much as possible and being thoughtful enough to do their bit to help the rest of the planet too.
The reward for this is not just for them, it's for everyone and will ensure we continue to share this planet with beautiful, amazing creatures and plants.
A BENEFIT FOR GREEN BUSINESSES...
I want to work with companies who have similar values to my own and encourage more businesses to think and act sustainably.
I know that using eco friendly and sustainably sourced products often comes at a greater financial expense, but the reward is worth it. So to support and encourage this, I am offering a green discount on commercial photography commissions with companies that I feel are genuinely going that extra mile.
Maybe your company makes clothing from reclaimed fishing nets, perhaps your products are made from other recycled products. If you believe that your company or even some of your products may meet this criteria, then I want to hear from you.
Every enquiry is considered on an individual basis, so get in touch to have a chat about how we can not only help each other, but how we can help and support this incredible planet that we live on too.Â
